I love this old tricycle.  Both of my kids rode it.  The pedals are crumbling.  The tires are bald.  The glitters things that hang off the ends of the handlebar grips have faded away.  The fender is rusting.  The bell broke long ago, but I can still hear it in my mind.

But I can't part with it.  I can just picture my son giving my daughter a ride on it.

Since I couldn't part with it...I did this instead:

Voila!  Repurposed into a plant stand!

Update:  Much to my surprise, this picture was repinned almost 200 times on Pinterest within about a week!  Wow!
